kinmel Bay Library Group Logo Competition

Posted by tkbtc on May 22, 2014
Posted under General

Kinmel Bay Friends’ of the Library Group recently held a ‘Logo Competition’ and invited children from Ysgol Y Foryd and Ysgol Maes Owen to enter.

The children from both schools were asked to design a logo to be used on the Library Group Stationery.

The competition was an outstanding success with over 228 entries.  Our Local AM Darren Millar kindly came along with our new elected Mayor Cllr Jaqueline Richmond to judge the competition.   As you can see from the pictures below the standard of work presented by the children was excellent.  The pictures were imaginative, colourful and fun.  The pictures clearly show a lot of time and effort had gone into their designs.

As with all competitions, picking just one winner is extremely hard however Janey Higton from Ysgol Maes Owen was named the overall winner so many congratulations to her.  There were so many excellent pictures that the Library Group decided to give Commendation Awards to some of the children from both schools.

The winners received a certificate and a great prize, but we would like to thank all the children who took part in the competition, as they all put so much effort into their pictures and represented their schools with pride.

Below are some of the pictures of the children with their awards, presented to them by Mayor Cllr Jacqueline Richmond, Deputy Mayor Cllr Bill Darwin and Library Group members.
